Policies

Help us keep the Pet Groom Studio running smoothly by understanding our policies:

Payment: We expect payment at pick-up time. We accept payment via cash, check, or credit card.

Late drop-offs: Pets more than 20 minutes late for their appointment may incur a $20 late fee and/or be rescheduled for another day.

Early drop-offs: If you arrive more than 20 minutes early and we're available, we may allow you to leave your pet. However, they will (probably) not be groomed until their scheduled time. If you are scheduled for the first appointment of the day (11am), we appreciate it if you arrive as close to 11am as possible (and if you're early, please not by more than 15 minutes).

Late pick-ups: We prefer that pets go home immediately after grooming, but we can sometimes make accommodations by request. You must ask for a later pick-up time when you make the appointment. Any pet left more than 1 hour after their expected pick-up will be charged a boarding fee of $10 per hour. Pets left late more than once may be refused future appointments. Pets left for more than 48 hours without client contact will be considered abandoned.

Early pick-ups: If something comes up and you must pick up your pet before grooming is completed, you may be charged full price, at our discretion. We will try to schedule you back to finish the grooming as soon as possible, but we can't guarantee that we'll have immediate availability.

Missed appointments: We do our best to accommodate regular clients needing to reschedule, but appointment spots are limited, so please keep track of yours! If something comes up and you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know as soon as possible.

Refunds: We expect fair payment for services rendered. If you are unhappy with your pet's haircut, we will try to make it right, but that does not include free grooming.

Veterinary care: In the event of a medical emergency, we will attempt to contact you before seeking veterinary help. If we cannot reach you, we will take your pet to the veterinarian of our choosing, at your expense. For non-emergency issues, we will inform you at pick-up. Please contact us right away if you notice a potential medical issue with your pet after they get home. If your pet requires veterinary treatment because of an accidental grooming injury, we will pay for the treatment provided that: 1. you notify us within 24 hours 2. the pet sees the veterinarian within 48 hours and 3. the veterinarian confirms that it was an avoidable grooming accident.

Refusing service: We do not discriminate against anyone based on race, color, national or ethnic origin, age, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, veteran status or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal or local laws. We do however reserve the right to refuse service to any person or pet who makes us feel unsafe or who poses a liability risk that we deem too high.
